Copenhagen (Long Cut) marks an effort to try some new sounds and different approaches to songwriting, getting away from familiar guitar-centric music. It was put together around a simple core idea that was heavily layered on with tracks, then stripped back down again, looking to create specific textures instead of melodic arrangements. It was produced, like a great percentage of songs Grade School Records releases, over a series of late nights and empty bottles, and is about time spent with an old friend from the city (where neither of us belong).
